The Techno India University is a private university in West Bengal which was established in the year 2012 by the chief minister of West Bengal, Mamta Bannerjee. The university offers various courses and specialization for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. The university is recognized by University Grant Commission (UGC) and has been approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

Location
Techno India University is located at EM-4, EM Block, Sector V, Bidhannagar, Kolkata. Sealdah, Kolkata and Dum Dum are the nearby railway stations that are located within a range of 10 km. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport is located at a distance of 17 km. CSTC Bus Depot is located at a distance of 1.7 km.

Clubs, Committees, and Societies:

Entrepreneurship Cell:  An entrepreneurship cell is present within the campus which searches for various innovative ideas and provides the students a platform to develop their skills in order to present themselves in front of various capitalist, investors and business leaders. 

NSS: A national service scheme unit is present within the university campus which is aimed at developing student’s personalities through various community exercises.

Dance and Music clubs: The aim of these clubs is to search and invite various peoples having talent in music and dance or the ones who had the potentials to develop the potentials. The clubs organise various dance and music competitions in the college and offer these students a chance to showcase their talents in front of the whole campus. 

Quiz and Debate Society: These societies conduct various quiz and debate competitions at the university. Everyone in the college is invited to participate in the competitions. This club in collaboration with each other organises the various competitions, quiz and cultural festivals in the university. 

Cultural Activities: Different cultural activities and social events are organised within the university throughout the year. An annual cultural extravaganza “Sahotsava” is organised which bring together the best artist and people from various clubs to participate and compete with each other. Various new cultural activities are performed in the fest every year.
