Ranchi College of Pharmacy was established in 1988 at Ranchi, to meet the growing demand of Pharmacists at various Health Centres, Hospitals, Pharmaceutical Industries and Medical Stores. To start with, the Institute offers courses Diploma in Pharmacy, Diploma in Medical Lab Technology, Diploma in Radiography Technology of two years duration with the approval of Pharmacy Council of India and All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The Institute is located in the South of Ranchi City (Capital of Jharkhand State) about one kilometer from Hatia Railway Station and Rly. Divisional HQR., S.E.Rly, and at a similar distance from Ranchi Air-port, in peaceful and pleasant surroundings. Ranchi is situated at an altitude of 640 meters has a cool and healthy climate having headquarters of a number of major Public Sector Undertakings eg. C.C.L., H.E.C., C.M.P.D.I., MECON etc., all having their well equipped spacious hospital.
