These wise words by Nelson Mandela perfectly describe our aim at NCRD. Education forms the cornerstone for NCRD as it imparts knowledge, skills and values to the students. The National Centre for Rural Development, NCRD, is a registered Public Charitable Trust. With firm belief in extending quality education to the masses, NCRD strives to empower students to harness all the potential that they possess, thereby creating effective, active and responsible citizens.

NCRD started its academic programs by offering education at school level. The NCRD’s Sterling Institute of Pharmacy, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, Government of Maharashtra and affiliated to University of Mumbai, Mumbai, started functioning in the year 2004. It has the advanced educational infrastructure which includes air-conditioned class rooms equipped with state of the art audio visual aids; well equipped laboratories; library with rich stock of books of diversified range, journals, e-journals; computer lab with computers of latest configuration and internet facility.

The Institute has dedicated faculty and staff creating an environment, which is conducive to the holistic development of the students. The dedication of the staff and activities conducted for the students, comprehensively help in gaining knowledge and improves the overall personality of the students, thus making them industry- ready. This is reflected in the excellent track record of placement of outgoing batches in multinational and national pharmaceutical organization and number of students pursuing higher studies abroad and in India.
