K R Institutions is managed by K R Educational Trust (R) established in 2003. The Trust was founded by a Philanthropist Mr. T Ramachandra Naidu and Mrs. T R Kanakamma, Dr. T R Hariprasad as its Founder Trustee, Dr. T R Chandrashekar as its Founder Managing Trustee and Dr. T R Malathi as Managing Director. It has Dr. R Dilip Kumar and Mr. Aashish D Rayapati as its functioning members.
K R School of Nursing was inceptualised in 2004, followed by K R College of Nursing in 2005. K R Educational Trust acquired a huge green campus in 2016 with all modern amenities and has excellent infrastructure. It applied to RGUHS and got permission for K R College of Pharmacy and K R Institute of Health Sciences.
