Integral University, Lucknow (IUL) was established in 1998. The institute is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The University started functioning with its affiliation to Dr. RML Awadh University, Faizabad in 1998 but later got affiliated to U.P Technical University, presently known as AKTU. The Integral University Lucknow is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under sections 2(f) and 12B of the UGC Act, 1956, Medical Council of India, Pharmacy Council of India, Indian Nursing Council, Council of Architecture, Bar Council of India, Indian Association of Physiotherapists, National Council for Teacher Education, UP State Medical Faculty and Distance Education Bureau. The institute started running with its UG programmes in three disciplines including Computer Science and Technology, Electronics Engineering and Architecture. But, later the institute started its UG programmes in other disciplines too. The institute also offers various PG programmes, diploma programmes and doctoral programmes in various disciplines.
